Olney ladies hockey walks the Moon in Edinburgh!
On Saturday 16 June, a wet night greeted them; they set off in a sea of mud with 10,000 women and 1,000 men and Lorraine Kelly from GMTV. They were soon trudging the cobbled streets of
Edinburgh, then came the hills, the rain stopped and started again and again, they kept on walking, talking and singing to the bemusement of fellow walkers. Jane Dip, Micaela and Wendy completed the half moon in less than four hours. The sun came up as they walked along the beach, they pushed Jude along, Carrina, Di, Jood, Jude and Rachel crossed the line, walking 26.2 miles in under seven hours. All in the name of Cancer Research, a charity very close to their hearts.
While up in Edinburgh, they managed to sample some haggis and a wee dram or two!
