Message from Olney Town Queen
Hello my name is Anna Swindells and I have been selected to be the 2007/8 Olney Town Queen supported by the Deputy Queen, Sarah Gould and my princesses Emily Megeary and Stephanie
Noble.
As part of my duties as Queen I learnt I would have to write an article for Phonebox Magazine. I have to say I was a bit worried about this, for instance would anyone really want to read what I have to say but nevertheless I am writing my little piece.
I moved to Olney when I was 18 months old so you could say I have practically lived here all my life, and what a great life it has been so far.
I went to both Olney First and Middle school and now attend the Olney Ousedale campus. I would describe myself as an active, bubbly and outgoing person who enjoys meeting people.
My hobbies are dancing, drama, singing and netball. I have just completed a year as Olney Fiesta Princess and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and giving something back to the town, so much so I entered for this year’s Town Queen to broaden my social skills.
I feel this year will be a special one as I am very close friends to Sarah, Emily and Stephanie as we all share similar interests.
This year the crowning will take place at the Cherry Fair on Saturday 30 June. Look out for more news about this next month and our first engagement at the Raft Race on Sunday 1 July.
