Emberton Village Fete 11th September at 1pm
Behind this door on the 11th September there will be a whole host of stalls and entertainment. Emberton is holding its village fete in the beautiful gardens of Church Farm. There will be home made cakes, garden produce, a book stall to browse through or how about trying your luck on the bottle tombola. Sit down with a light lunch or afternoon tea and listen to Olney Brass entertaining you.
There will be classic cars for the dads to reminisce over while mums are looking for bargains on the bric-a-brac or accessories stalls and the children are trying their luck on the games.
The doors open at 1pm.
OLNEY PRE-SCHOOL NEWS
The children have been very busy this term studying the life cycle of the butterfly.
They eagerly watched the caterpillars getting bigger before creating cocoons and finally emerging as beautiful butterflies. The children were able to help release the butterflies in our garden.
With the summer holidays fast approaching we are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather for the much anticipated ‘Beach Days’ which are always a fun way for the children to end the term, with sand, water and of course, ice cream!
Our end of term party will be at The Carlton Club on Friday 22nd July. This is a lovely way for the children moving on to school to say good bye to their Key workers.
It will be particularly special and poignant this year as Ros, our supervisor, is retiring after over 20 years of caring for the children of Olney and surrounding areas. We wish her well but hope to still see her around town!
We hope everyone enjoys the summer holidays and we look forward to meeting the new children starting in September.
