Calling
all foodie
fans come to
Olney’s Food Festival!
Here’s a date for your diary - this year’s Big Olney Food Festival, or ‘BOFF’ as it is more affectionately known, is taking place on Saturday 17 September 2011!
Organised by Olney Chamber of Trade and sponsored by David Coles Architects, BOFF will feature local food and drink provided by local businesses, and will take over Olney market place from 12 noon until 9.30pm.
A range of local businesses will each have a stall providing food and drink for
you to choose from – there’ll
be wonderful dishes
prepared by Pastures Farm, The Bull Inn, Beans, Much Ado Delicatessen, Happy Herefords, Four Pillars Tandoori, Wobbly Bottom Farm, and Teapots. Drinks will be provided by Bacchus, Hopping Mad Brewery and The Bull.
All food and drink will
available from 12 noon until
9pm – simply turn up on the
day at a time that suits you.
It’ll run a little differently this year – instead of exchanging your tickets for a three course meal we are selling books of vouchers, costing £16 in advance or £20 on the day. Each
book will contain vouchers
in £2.50 denominations to
the value of £20 - so you're
saving 20% by buying them
in advance rather than on the
day! Simply choose your food
and drinks from the fantastic
menu, exchange it for the
appropriate voucher value and
find a seat within our beautifully
adorned festival marquee. Like
last year everything will be
under cover, should the
weather decide not to be on
our side. Then sit back, relax
and enjoy the entertainment!
As well as David Coles Architects, the organisers would like to thank Garrard & Allen Solicitors, Marcus Jordan & Co, Stephen Oakley & Co and Jane Smith Financial Planning for supporting the event.
So come along and support Olney’s great foodie event! Last year’s festival was a great success, so don’t delay - buy your tickets for this year’s event in advance to avoid disappointment!
Tickets are available from selected outlets in Olney (Much Ado, the Bull, Bacchus Wines and Teapots) from 1st August, or email Samantha at samantha@bluecarrotevents.co.uk. BOFF Programmes will also be available where you see a BOFF Poster from 1st August.
“It’ll be a great day out for all the family,” says James Lomax from The Bull Inn, who is organising the event with Samantha Tomlin, of Blue Carrot Events. “There’ll be cookery demos and wine tasting, and live entertainment throughout the day. We’re thrilled that James Perry the ‘Masterchef’ finalist will star in Olney’s version of ‘Ready Steady Cook’, and the brilliant rock band ‘Chocolate Badger’ will be headlining the festival!”
