Nor thamptonshire Country Fair: Photo Call

The Northamptonshire Country Fair has been in existence for 30 years. You may know it better as the Castle Ashby Country Fair. Proceeds from recent Fairs have helped to support, amongst other projects, an extension and new furnishing and equipment at the village school, the refurbishment of the Committee Room and provision of new chairs at the village’s Memorial Hall and the conservation and management of a small woodland area for community use. In addition local and national charities, such as Guide Dogs for the Blind, Northamptonshire Kidney Patients Association, Girl Guides, Northants Greyhound Rescue, and Lions and Rotary Clubs also benefit from the Fair, raising money for their own causes.
It is billed as ‘an affordable day of country activities, entertainment and fun for all the family’. A family ticket for four cost £18 and there was free parking. With a host of activities including arts and crafts, clay pigeon shooting, brass bands, helicopter rides, classic cars, children’s entertainment, food stalls, dog shows and much more, it certainly looked a fun place to spend a Sunday. The Phonebox Photographer decided it was worth a look and popped along to capture all the fun of the fair.
