Olympians visit Hopping Mad Brewery
Earlier this month the Olympic Team from Micronesia, were hosted by the Hopping Mad Brewery, to a visit to Olney and the surrounding villages having completed their Olympic participation responsibilities. Micronesia is not particularly well known in the northern
hemisphere and is a group of 607 islands to the north of Australia and is a Pacific island paradise. (www.visit-micronesia.fm)
Their visit began in the Hopping Mad Brewery with a brewery tour and after a degree of imbibing most of the Hopping Mad styles, the unanimously preferred name was impossible to find, as they, like us, loved them all!
They then happily devoured a Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas lunch, very British but maybe not too Olympian and with so many questions about brewing being asked, who knows there may yet be a Hopping Mad brewery in Micronesia!
The Micronesia Olympic Team are the most lovely courteous and fun group of people and were a joy to host and we would welcome their return at any time.
After further deep meaningful discussion regarding opening a Brewery in Micronesia, we wished them all well and they departed to visit the surrounding villages and would eventually head back to the Olympic Village for sleep.
