The Lions' Den • ---- Another record breaking year ---- In a time when money is short and we are constantly hearing of austerity, tightening belts, charity income dropping etc, our experience has been quite different. Once again, we have broken records by raising just short of £20k and donating more than £ 1 1 k to some 34 charities, individuals and groups. In addition, our members and friends group have supported numerous organisations in a number of other ways, including marshalling, manning (and womanning) entry gates at events and carrying out tasks to serve the community. There is no commitment, no subtle effort to get you to 'join up' and certainly no problems if you happen to be otherwise engaged. When we send an appeal for help, and if you are free, we would love to have you come along to help out. If you are not available, simply ignore the email.
