Olney Camera Club
Members of the club visited the Anglian Wolf Society last month and had a great time taking pictures and hearing about the lives ofthe wolves. Our wolf picture on the right was taken by Diane Rickard.

Newport Pagnell Inner Wheel
For the past twelve months, the Newport Pagnell Inner Wheel has been fundraising for the charity Baby Basics MK. At the June AGM, their president, Val Belcher, was pleased to give a cheque for £2000 to Anne Crowter and Joy Crockett, representatives from the charity. This was accompanied by a large selection of baby items donated by members. At the close of the meeting the new president, Jacquy M-Mundy, was given her chain of office. Good Luck to her from all the members! A Christmas bazaar, vintage tea party and open meeting with Gail Morecambe were just a few of the events organised during the past year. The members also helped in practical ways, such as:
Sourcing second hand clothes that were laundered and sorted ready for distribution.
Knitting cardigans, pram covers, jumpers, bootees and mitts. Sewing baby quilts, making up cot sheets, cot bumpers and pram blankets.
  Collecting toys, books and games for children.
Collecting baby equipment, high chairs, moses' baskets and baths.
Baby Basics MK aim to provide good quality second hand baby and toddler clothes, toys and equipment to families in need. Referrals come from health professionals, social workers and midwives etc. They welcome any volunteers who could help their work.
