Many of you reading this will have known Mike, who worked tirelesslyforboth the Bowling Club and The Carlton House Club. Much loved and sorely missed. and we are offering local businesses the chance to be a part of our journey. Ahead of September's regatta, we would like to invite the business community of Milton Keynes and it's surrounding areas to offer their support by sponsoring our club, and help us to become a leading force in British Rowing. Memorial Match ton I eynes Ice Hockey Milton Keynes' ice hockey community came together on July 1 3th to play a 24-hour match in memory of former player Kris Ledgard, who sadly passed away at just 22 years old. Raising funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), it was played at MK Ice, the not-for-profit ice rink in the former Waitrose building broughtinmorethan£15,000,withmoremoneycomingin.Allparticipants in the memorial game played with either Kris or his older brother Tomas in the past. Since Kris passed away, his family set up the Kris Ledgard Foundation and Memorial Fund in his memory, with the aim of raising funds for CRY so they can screen more young people aged 1 4 to 35 for cardiac abnormalities, and helps reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death.
