It’s been a great season for three of Olney’s teams who have been promoted. After the Aegon side was promoted last month, they were joined by the Mens A team who beat David Lloyd 8-0 thanks to Stephen Bateson, Nigel Willard, Tom Field and Phil Anderson. The Mens A have also won a place in the MK Cup Final thanks to
a 5-3 win against Vagabonds.
The Ladies B were also promoted after their best ever season with captain Lynda Baker leading the way and are
hoping to make the cup final too.
The Mens Bucks will finish mid table after a terrific 7-2 win against Chesham 1979 with Olney represented by Simon Barter, Stephen Bateson, Tom Field, Freddie Guilmard, Phil Anderson and Nigel Willard.
The Mens B will stay in their division while the Mens C look destined for relegation, though have given many new players a chance.
The Mixed B have had a tough time in a higher division this season but pulled off a stunning 5-3 away victory against the Stony Stratford second team thanks to Sarah Wilkinson, Chris Wright, Phil Bennett and Lynda Baker. The Mixed C played a thrilling game late into the night against the Silverstone A team and just lost despite the efforts of Emma Maitland, Max Lickfold, Ted Barnes and Gill Bradford.
The Ladies C enjoyed their best win of the season beating Stony Stratford
