What’s on in your area this July?
Are you ready to Gung-Ho?
If you’re a fan of high-energy, high-rise and highly rated inflatable obstacle courses, Gung-Ho is the racecourse for you. Gung- Ho is an event that takes place in multiple UK locations that offers large-scale in atable obstacle courses, all for the pleasure and enjoyment of the participants.
Over the last few years, Gung-Ho have partnered with BBC Children In Need to allow entrants to raise money for charity. And if all that wasn’t enough to convince you, as a way of showing how ‘Gung-Ho’ you are, everyone who completes the course is given a free t-shirt and headband emblazoned with Gung-Ho branding.
The event will be coming to Milton Keynes on 9th July and tickets are selling fast! It will take place at Willen Lake and each entrant can partake in one of the  ve hourly ‘waves’ starting at 9am, with the last ‘wave’ at 1pm. There will be plenty of food stalls as well as parking.

Ampthill Litfest 2016
Are you interested in comedy or crime writing? Or maybe you’d like to know more about screen writing? Either way, Ampthill Litfest 2016 promises to be a fantastic weekend of knowledge, insight and fun! Steven Berkoff, Barry Cryer, Mark Billingham and Francesca Martinez are set to star in Ampthill’s 2016 Litfest over the weekend of 16th-17th July 2016 at Redborne Upper School, Ampthill. Saturday 16th is devoted to British crime writers, Mark Billingham, Martyn Waites, Chris Brookmyre, R.C. Bridgestock, female duo A.D. Garrett and Hugh Fraser. In breakout workshops, new authors have an opportunity to pitch book ideas to established writers, a publisher and an agent, and young authors can work with a professional crime writer, theatre dramatist, poet and graphic artist to produce a competition piece.
The evening of Saturday 16th is devoted to comedy writing with the great Barry Cryer who has, for 50 years, written material for practically every top comedian in the country including Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Cooper and the Two Ronnies.
Sunday 17th will focus on screen writing, with panels of writers, directors, producers and actors. Sunday closes with the renowned
actor, writer and director, Steven Berkoff. Food concessions, bookstalls, author signings, a beer and wine tent and an art exhibition round off a complete weekend of literary and  lm entertainment. IF: Milton Keynes’ International Festival: July 2016
The programme of events for the International Festival has now been announced. From 15th to 24th July, Milton Keynes’ boulevards, shopping centres and parks will be transformed by digital installations, live music, free activities and outdoor performances! This year’s locations include centre:mk; The Stables Spielgeltent, Festival Central and The Mini Bowl at South Willen Lake Park; Intu; and Xscape. See below for details and dates of the IF events.
