Lavendon Village Hall
Celebrating the completion of hall refurbishment
At 2pm on Saturday, 9th July, 2016 the Starlight Samba Band led a procession of children and adults, many of them dressed in red, white and blue out ts to the village hall.

The procession linked up with a crowd which was already gathering in front of the village hall. At 2.30pm William Tusting, a director of JR Tusting & Company, the village’s leather goods company, carried out the tape-cutting ceremony.
In his speech, he spoke about the original hall, a basic ex-Army Of cers’ Pavilion, of cially opened in May 1955. What’s Going On:
We are currently picking up a very large number of clients from two local rms of Accountants. The reason is not price but lack of service and the clients feeling they are not being looked after.
Reasons given:
“We feel we are just a number”
“We don’t feel we are being looked after’’
“We don’t get any tax advice”
“We keep getting penalties from HMRC and Companies House” One new client even said he didn’t particularly like his Accountant!
This Shouldn’t Happen
I think these Accountants must be fed up with us, but they deserve it. Don’t forget we are happy to act for new clients from any Accountants.
Finally, regarding Daisy the guard dog, we contacted the police who weren’t interested and so appointed a dog Solicitor instead, but she is still being held hostage.
