14 Phonebox Magazine | March 2025A sensational selection of dance shows are coming to Northampton in the coming weeks, and they have one popular TV show in common, says Phonebox%u2019s Tom Johnston.Dance fans will have plenty to look forward to at the Royal & Derngate throughout spring and summer, following the theatre%u2019s announcement that a succession of sizzling shows are on their way, presented by Strictly Come Dancing favourites, new and old.This series of dance fl oor delights gets underway as rising star of Strictly, Nikita Kuzmin, travels to Northampton on Friday 28th March with his brand-new show Midnight Dancer, as part of his fi rst-ever solo UK and Ireland tour. On Tuesday 1st April, Strictly veteran %u2013 and now everyone%u2019s favourite judge %u2013 Anton Du Beke will be performing songs and dances from his favourite West End and Broadway shows in At The Musicals.There%u2019s a break of just three days before the dancing features again in Northampton. Following their debut tour Firedance, Karen Hauer Theatre becomes strictly for dance fansand Gorka Marquez are thrilled to bring their latest show, Speakeasy, to Royal & Derngate on Friday 4th April, unlocking the door to an undercover world of elegance and iconic dance fl avours. Looking further ahead into summer, Wednesday 1st July brings together Diane Buswell and Vito Coppola to star in a dynamic new stage show, Red Hot and Ready, delivering show-stopping performances with jawdropping choreography from Jason Gilkison. Finally, Anton du Beke returns to the theatre with old friend Giovanni Pernice as the nation%u2019s favourite double-act on Monday 21st July, in Together Again, showcasing the duo%u2019s incredible talents and irresistible chemistry on stage.
