Merry Christmas! We have plenty of festive news for you to unwrap up in this months Buzz. Inside youʼll find a unique blend of humour, good will, good music and nakedness, yes you heard right and donʼt pretend youʼre not interested. As we get set for a New Year Iʼm looking to get myself more organised, but how I wonder? Well the answer is to purchase a Sunset Lounge
For those of you who are unaware on December 18th Community Newport Pagnell community man Brian & Co are driving from their hometown to Timbuktu as part of the Plymouth Dakar Rally in an old Landrover that is having itʼs engine worked on as I write this. All this is in aid of charity Turning Point. Turning Point do great things for people with drink and drug problems.

The Rally is completely unsupported and if they break down theyʼre on their own.
Car update:
The Engine for the landrover has been purchased!, and has made itʼs way down from birmingham. The guys still have to fit it though, but it looks like they have it sussed.

So as 2010 bears down upon us like an impatient and over-eager lover we are, of course, left wondering “what will distinguish next year from all the others?” And the answer is, obviously, The Sunset Loungeʼs naked calendar. The Sunset Lounge is an Open Mic that makes its presence felt every Thursday in the back room of the Canon in Newport. Masterminded by Ade Glasgow to raise money for equipment, the models are made up of performers, staff and those who regularly frequent the saucy, singing-social. Iʼve suspected that everyone there has been swapping beds and the secrets of their inner-fruitiness with everybody else, in a clandestine fashion, for a while. So it was only a small, logical step to making the nudity a group activity. And now we all have to pay for it. But thatʼs life after a group de-bagging. The calendars are on sale at the SSL or are available through Facebook. Thereʼs also a short documentary about it on www.buckstv.co.uk where, somehow, I come off as outstandingly arrogant and pretentious, which must have taken some ingenious editing. It is an amusing watchthough.
Christmas Lights & Shopping:
To raise more money the boys and girls plan to take the landrover to the Christmas Lights turning on in Newport Pagnell (which will have happended by the time this magazine is out). There should have hopefully been a competition to guess how many balloons were in the landrover and various items were planned to go on sale including an African chess table & chairs too.

The other questions youʼre probably all asking yourselves are “When will the Olney Wine Bar Open Mic make its much anticipated return into our empty lives and where did it go?” Well, it became The Craufurd Arms Open Mic and howls out its merits there, in Wolverton, every Monday. We will, hopefully, be re- starting another one at the Wine bar on Tuesdays in the New Year though. Since the place re-opened, apparently, people have been asking about it. And Vicky seemed to recognise the charming side of belligerent and cocky when it was extrapolating, half-cut at her bar, so all would seem promising.
