                                 A Classic Experience
Olney Car Club
y youth was dominated by motorbikes, not sports cars, Mso when I had the chance to return from Norfolk to Olney in an MG Midget, I jumped at the chance. The journey was pure joy . Next , I felt compelled to go to the classic car show at The NEC to get a taste and feel of these classic
cars. Shortly afterwards I was the proud owner of an MG Midget! With limited knowledge I soon found I could get lots of useful information online and through various MG members clubs. Having said that , it's always enjoyable talking to other classic car enthusiasts , exchanging experiences , ideas and knowledge. A chance meeting with two locals (John Boardman, who has a MGBGT, and Simon Fisher, who owns a MG Midget) was great. The funny thing is they
did not know each other, but both were keen to meet other like- minded enthusiasts with a view to organising a classic car road run from Olney.
We are inviting classic car owners or enthusiasts (MG or others) to an open meeting at The Two Brewers , Olney, on Wednesda y 14th May at 8.00pm. Also, we hope to find out if there will be enough support for an Olney classic car club.
If you could email me at martin@mgolney.com or call/text me on 07763 199495 with your interest, or whether you will be attending the meeting , that would be helpful. Thanks .
There will be a warm welcome for all.
