Thinking Day ell , we are at the W beginning of May already and it's only a short time until the Festival of Transport. Now in its fourth year, it is once again being held over the May bank holiday weekend. It's running from Saturday 24th until Monday 26th at Whites Nurseries, which lies just off junction 10 of the A45 between Wellingborough and Northampton (NN6 0EP) . The festival is a celebration of all motorised transport , regardless of age, to show the huge diver sity and evolution of vehicles through the ages. The third Earls Barton Fire and Rescue Show runs alongside the festival , and has a wide range of fire fighting vehicles . There will be displays of vehicle passenger rescue, fire hazards Mick and H azel Higham and prevention . Some will be told in a humorous way , but there's a serious message for us all. There's already been a good level of entries and any further enquiries are welcomed . If you are interested , or would like to have a trade or craft stand (or know anyone who is), entry forms can be downloaded from www.festivaloftransport.net or you can ring direct on (01604) 811633. The Festival of Transport is open from 10am until 5pm each day, Saturday to Monday. Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for OAPs and children and £13 for a family ticket (two adults and two children) . Car parking is free, and there is a beer tent and catering outlets. We look forward to seeing you at the event, either as exhibitors, traders or visitors, and to hearing from you if you would like to attend . Festival Of Transport Phonebox Magazine 13
