Pre-School Easter Sarah I just wanted to send a letter to say thank you to everyone involved in the Pre-School Easter fundraising event. Thank you to all of the shops along the High Street that kindly displayed the clues , all the families that came along and supported this event and the people that bought cake. A New Leisure Facility For Newport Pagnell Ron, Newport Pagnell Town Council is delighted to announce that we have taken ownership of Middleton Pool and Willen Road Sports Ground from Milton Keynes Council, and simultaneously signed a contract with Places for People Leisure Management Ltd to manage leisure services for the council. The company will operate the facilities through their subsidiary , Places for People Leisure, which is a social enterprise. This move has secured the long-term future of Middleton Pool and Willen Road Sports Ground, and will result in the development of a new fitness centre adjoining Middleton Pool. John Smith , Mayor and Chairman of the Town Council, said, "This new facility will upgrade Middleton Pool, allowing it to match and better other facilities in Milton Keynes. Over the years Middleton Pool has served local people well, and we are very pleased that this arrangement will maintain and improve this vital leisure facility." While the new facility is being developed, Places for People Leisure will manage a temporary gym at the Tickford Community Centre.
