The following weekend (15-17 August ) will feature computer music, with lots of hands- on opportunities.
On 24-25 August, there will be the ever- popular retro-games weekend, when all sorts of gems from the past, such as Space Invaders and the Mario Brothers, will re- appear. There will even be a chance for visitors to try their hand at creating their own computer game.
Summer Bytes will run everyday, but visitors are welcome every Thursday or weekend afternoon to see the world- famous Colossus Rebuild, the WITCH, which is the oldest working computer on the planet. They can experience lots of computers from the 1980s (that people of a certain age may vividly remember). Come along and see the world-class computer museum that is on your doorstep. Olney Camera Club
Latest news
Olney Camera Club recently met with the Towcester Club for the annual Digital Images Competition, and Olney won with a total of 343 points to 337. Congratulations to all involved. The club also scored three perfect 20s. These were Lake Bled by Barbara, Colourful Symmetry by Mike Clark and Open All Hours by John Hughes. The club is hoping to have more evening outings during the summer to take pictures and edit them, with tuition and help for the less experienced members. Please contact the club if you are
interested in coming to any of the meetings. The winning picture this month was by Roy Bird, and was called Hanging on the Line (pictured immediately below). It won the open category and was Image of the Evening in a recent club competition.
