(Matches on 12th and 26th September may change if Newport Pagnell or their scheduled opponents progress further in the FA Cup.)

The Ladies A team are the stars of this season for Olney. They went into their last two games with a 100% record and kept it by winning both matches and so being crowned worthy champions of Division 2 and so promoted to the top division.
They firstly beat Wolverton, with B Ladies Lynda Baker and Sarah Wilkinson stepping up to support Gill Hogston and Eleanor Carter.
Then in a tense final match against Stony Stratford, who were also unbeaten, so was to decide the title. Olney played a stormer and won convincingly thanks to Jill Bradford and Katie Bennett, and Gill Hogston and Eleanor Carter.
The Ladies B team has struggled earlier on in the season but have bounced back and won their last two matches to preserve their place in Division Two. In the first match, Christine Day, Margaret Currie, Sarah Wilkinson and Lynda Baker beat David Lloyd, In the second, Margaret Currie and Anne Bacon played well while Lynda Baker and Jill Bradford won a tiebreak 13-11 to clinch the deciding set against Milton Keynes.
The Mens B team also kept their place in their division after a big win against the
Open University after good performances from Tom Ball, Simon Barter, Nigel Willard and Chris Wright.
The Mens Bucks team had a good win against Chesham Bois with youngsters Tom Field and Tim Ball helping Ian Fuller, Chris Wright, Nick Raper and Nigel Willard to beat a tough team.
There was an excellent win for the MXD B against promotion chasing David Lloyd B. Christine Day and Nigel Willard together with Lynda Baker and Malcolm Donne won 6-2. This leaves the team in 4th place with a creditable mid table finish. Many thanks to all who played and to captain Anne Bacon for her brilliant captaincy.
Summer Tennis Camps popular with youngsters
Olney Tennis Club ran successful summer camps with lots of local youngsters enjoying playing tennis and meeting new friends. We hope many will carry on playing tennis through the year.

The Club Tournament has seen many good matches so far. The finals will be on 13/14 September so do come along and watch.
Brave fundraisers!
Well done to club members Stefanie Price and Paul Norbury abseiled down the 400 foot lift tower in Northampton in order to support Nene Valley Christian Family Refuge who help rebuild the lives of those affected by domestic violence in Northamptonshire.
Thanks so much to everyone for their support and sponsorship. Between them Stefanie and Paul raised over £1000 for this fantastic local charity.
