Old Musical Instruments
Ian Roberts needs your help
This is a call out to anyone who has an old guitar, ukulele or mandolin sitting in the attic gathering dust; we need your help. I’m o to Calais to record a new song in the camp called the “Jungle” with migrant musicians who are living in the
camp, I’ve teamed up with a group of artists called The Calais Sessions who have asked me if I’ll come out to write and record a new song with them.
We shall be releasing the single on iTunes and Amazon and all proceeds will go to the camp to help those who need it most.
The musicians living in the camp are desperate for musical instruments, when they were forced from their homes their musical instruments were probably the last thing on their minds, their only thoughts were to save their children, but now sitting in the camp they long for a guitar, I have a rough idea of how that must feel, I play every single day and it’s like therapy for me.
So please, if you have an old guitar that you don’t use anymore then donate it to someone who will adore and play it every single day, you will be making someone who has been to hell and back smile so wide that it could spread all through the camp and bring some much needed love and happiness to people who truly need it.
