Castlethorpe Rovers FC
Castlethorpe Rovers FC won the MK veterans League Cup final recently at manor elds Bletchley, beating a very strong Great
Horwood Team 3-1.
A good size crowd turned out to witness the Rovers add the cup to the league winner’s trophy they won last year. A hat trick by M. Kyd proved the difference in the two sides. The Rovers are looking for players for the upcoming season. Anybody over the age of 35 at the beginning of the season is entitled to play. If interested please contact Phil Robinson on 07800 576 564.
MK Veterans League Cup
Inspired by Wimbledon
We are running a summer tournament sponsored by Stephanie Price Wealth Planning. MS, LS, MD, LD and MXD competitions are taking place through the summer with the nals in September with lots of entrants battling away. Moving on to club developments, the resurfacing of Courts Two and Three has been completed. Court One has been repainted and Court Four will be resurfaced in August, The clubhouse will also be refurbished during this time giving us a great facility.
Wimbledon should be inspiring you to pick up a racquet so please do come along and join us whatever your age or standard. Now’s the time to get back on court or start playing tennis at our friendly club and we have been pleased to welcome new players. You can join any of our club sessions, play in teams or just play with friends. There are no court or light fees and lots of bene ts. To nd out more, please call 01234 711936 or go to www.olneytennis.club.
